Wiper blade: The blade slides directly onto the straight arm and is secured by the locking pin, which clicks into a hole on the blade's attachment point.
Typical application: Often found on later models of classic cars, particularly those from the 1960s and 1970s.
Spoon fitting
Wiper arm: The end of the wiper arm has a distinctive curved profile that looks like a spoon.
Wiper blade: The blade is designed to match the unique curvature of the arm. The arm hooks into the blade, and a retaining clip slides to lock it in place.
Typical application: Used on earlier classic cars and vintage vehicles.

Fitting location
The mounting point for the wiper arm is located in the center of the blade's frame.
The mounting point is located off-center, closer to one end of the blade.
Wiping pattern
Creates a symmetrical wiping action, clearing an equal arc on either side of the arm's mounting point.
Creates an asymmetrical wiping pattern. It clears a larger area on one side of the arm than the other.
Application
Used on vehicles where the wiper arm is positioned to move the blade in an even arc, such as a single-arm system or for blades on a tandem-action system.
Used on vehicles, especially on the driver's side, to allow for a wider wiping arc and better coverage on that half of the windshield.
Compatibility
